Receipe For Basic Veg Indian Thali

  Ingredients : Basmati rice Chapati or naan bread Dal (lentil curry) Mixed vegetable curry (such as aloo gobi or mixed veg curry) Raita (yogurt-based side dish) Salad (sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions) Papadum (optional) Pickle or chutney (optional) Instructions : Cook Basmati Rice : Rinse 1 cup of Basmati rice thoroughly until the water runs clear. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed rice to the boiling water, cover, and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and fluffy. Prepare Chapati or Naan: If making chapati, knead whole wheat flour with water and a pinch of salt to form a smooth dough.  Roll out into thin circles and cook on a hot skillet until lightly browned on both sides. If using naan bread, you can buy ready-made ones or prepare them using a recipe of your choice.                          VEG HAKKA NOODLES Ingredients : 200g Hakka noodles Assorted vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, cabbage, etc.) 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 small onion, sliced 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp chili sauce 1 tbsp oil Salt and pepper to taste                                 METHODS Boil Hakka noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside. Heat oil in a pan, sauté garlic and onion until translucent. Add assorted vegetables and stir-fry until they are tender-crisp. Toss in the boiled noodles, soya sauce, and chili sauce, mixing well.
