DESCRIPTION:- 


Shahi Tukda is a classic Indian dessert that combines the crispy, golden goodness of fried bread with the creamy, sweet richness of rabri (reduced milk) and nuts.

INGREDIENTS:-


*For the bread:-


- 4-6 slices of white bread (preferably a day old)

- Vegetable oil, for frying


*For the rabri sauce:*-


- 1 liter full-fat milk

- 1/2 cup sugar

- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

- 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads, soaked in 1 tablespoon hot water

- 1 tablespoon chopped pistachios or almonds

- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter


*For garnish:*-


- Chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds, or cashews)

- Edible silver leaf (optional)


INSTRUCTIONS :- 


1. _Prepare the bread_:-


Cut the bread slices into cubes or triangles.


2. _Fry the bread_:-


Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the bread cubes until they're golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.


3. _Prepare the rabri sauce_:-


 Heat milk in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the milk has reduced slightly and thickened.


4. _Add sugar and spices_:-


Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron threads (with the soaked water) to the milk. Mix well.


5. _Add nuts and butter_:-


Add chopped nuts and unsalted butter to the milk. Mix well.


6. _Assemble the Shahi Tukda_:-


Dip the fried bread cubes in the rabri sauce and coat evenly.


7. _Garnish_:- 


Garnish with chopped nuts and edible silver leaf (if using).


8. _Serve_:-


  Serve the Shahi Tukda warm or chilled, depending on your preference.
