🍫 Choco Lava Cake


DESCRIPTION:-


Choco Lava Cake, also known as molten chocolate cake, is a rich, indulgent dessert with a crisp outer layer and a gooey, flowing chocolate center. It’s a perfect treat for chocolate lovers and can be made quickly with just a few ingredients. Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar.



INGREDIENTS:- (for 2 servings):


Dark chocolate – 100g


Unsalted butter – 50g


Powdered sugar – 1/4 cup


All-purpose flour – 2 tbsp


Eggs – 2 (or 1 whole egg + 1 yolk for more richness)


Vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp (optional)


A pinch of salt


Butter & cocoa powder (for greasing)



INSTRUCTIONS:


1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).



2. Prepare ramekins (or small steel bowls) by greasing with butter and dusting lightly with cocoa powder. This prevents sticking.



3. Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or microwave. Mix until smooth.



4. In another bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.



5. Add melted chocolate mixture to the eggs and mix gently.



6. Sift in flour, add a pinch of salt and vanilla essence. Fold everything to make a smooth batter.



7. Pour batter into the prepared ramekins until ¾ full.



8. Bake for 8-10 minutes. The edges should be firm, but the center should remain soft.



9. Let it cool for a minute, then invert gently onto a plate.



10. Serve immediately, garnished with ice cream, berries, or powdered sugar.






✅ TIPS FOR PERFECT LAVA CAKES:


Do not overbake. The magic is in the gooey center, so check after 8 minutes.


Use good-quality dark chocolate (at least 60–70% cocoa) for a richer taste.


You can prepare the batter ahead and refrigerate. Bake just before serving.


Add a small cube of chocolate in the center of the batter for extra lava flow.


For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of instant coffee to the batter.
