ALOO GOBI MASALA WITH PURIS
🌟 DESCRIPTION:-
Aloo Gobi Masala with Puri is a comforting and flavorful North Indian meal, loved for its simplicity and taste. The masala is a wholesome curry made with potatoes (aloo) and cauliflower (gobi) cooked in a spiced onion-tomato gravy. Paired with puffed, golden, and crispy puris, this dish makes for a hearty breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It’s a perfect balance of crisp puris and soft, tangy, and mildly spicy curry that delights every bite.
🥘 ALOO GOBI MASALA RECIPE:-
INGREDIENTS:
2 medium potatoes (peeled & cubed)
1 small cauliflower (cut into florets)
2 medium onions (finely chopped)
2 tomatoes (pureed)
2 green chilies (slit)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tbsp oil or ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 bay leaf
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin powder
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
METHOD:-
1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and bay leaf.
2. Add onions, sauté until golden brown.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste, fry for a minute.
4. Mix in tomato puree and green chilies, cook till oil separates.
5. Add turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt.
6. Add potatoes and cauliflower, stir well.
7. Pour 1 cup water, cover and cook until vegetables are tender.
8. Sprinkle garam masala and mix.
9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
🍽 PURI RECIPE:-
INGREDIENTS:-
2 cups wheat flour
1 tbsp semolina (optional, for crispiness)
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp oil
Water (to knead)
Oil for frying
METHOD:-
1. Mix wheat flour, semolina, salt, and oil.
2. Gradually add water to make a stiff dough. Rest for 20 minutes.
3. Divide dough into small balls, roll into small discs.
4. Heat oil, fry puris until golden and puffed.
